Renewing a Traditional Milanese Christmas Event
Until January 10, 2016, Milan renews the traditional Christmas event with an artistic altar masterpiece known as “The Adoration of the Shepherds” by Peter Paul Rubens at the Palazzo Marino. The painting, attributed to the Flemish painter in 1927 by the art historian Roberto Lonnghi, who was impressed by his vision in the Church of St. Philip Blacks in Fermo, is a poetic summation of Rubens. The High Patronage of the President the Italian Republic, and the patronage of the Ministry of Heritage and Culture and Tourism, This exhibition is sponsored by the City of Milan, the institutional partner Intesa Sanpaolo and the support of the Rinascente. Thanks to the Royal Palace who worked in collaboration with the City of Fermo – Art Gallery, the galleries of Italy in Piazza Scala and Civita and curator Anna Lo Bianco this exhibition is possible.
Not only is this exhibit free, it has art historians greeting its visitors and group tours led by Civita.
