The Market Sound Festival 2016 is one of the biggest summer festivals in Milan, hosting approximately forty top Italian and international names performing over two months at the gigantic venue of Mercati Generali. The Market Sound Festival crosses all genres of music, with particular attention to the global best, including Vinicio Capossela (June 26), Bad Religion (July 1), Modena City Ramblers (July 2), Slayer (July 4), Tame Impala (July 5), Treves Blues Band (July 8), DJ Mustard (July 13), Afterhours (July 14), legendary Neil Young (July 18), Morgan Heritage (July 19), The Chemical Brothers (July 22), and Lagwagon(July 27).
Last year in 2015 was a major success in which 400,000 visitors participated in the experience overflowing with enthusiasm. This year will give music addicts free access to the village area on the evenings of Friday, Saturday, & Sunday, quality street food for festival attendees, children’s shows, activities, and workshops in a kid area, sports tournaments, and three stages which fans can roam between them to visit and view their favorite artists. There will be music everywhere, and music for all in which there will be a Main Stage, Village Stage, and a Flower Stage. Three different stages, three uniquely amazing experiences. There will be paid concerts as well as free events and after shows during the duration of the festival.
The Village is the core of Market Sound and will be carefully blending art, entertainment, and food culture, in which there will be a unique experience of relaxation, food, and fun, not just at night during the musical performances, but in the day as well. This year there will also be more space allocated to sports (including free beach volleyball Friday – Sunday!), a space devoted to watching the UEFA Euro 2016 football games, and an area for open air activities for sports fans of all ages and varieties. The food area at Market Sound will allow visitors to experience the real culture of Italy by offering top caliber street food, side activities, and workshops by top chefs, in which all of the delectable morsels will be coming straight from the source, Mercati Generali!

Market Sound is in a very strategic place in Milan in which it is easily accessible from any part of the city thanks to the efficient system of connections with buses and trams.
